Or you can go AMD, with the Tri core 720. It's up to you, i would go for the extra core on the AMD especially seeing as he plays MMOs and RTSs which are more likely to make use of the extra core in the future.

I had a spec lined up just as my PC screen went green :(.
 
hes a AMD quadcore spec the GFX arent top notch but he can easily upgrade later but the CPU should handle all his games easily:D Alternatively you can swap the mobo for an abit IP35 and the CPU for an E8500

Remember to flash the BIOS before installing just incase you get incompatability issues

Or alternatively you could just drop the extra 4gb of ram you popped in your basket and get a reasonable video card ;)

9800gt - 85
coolermaster elite case & 460w extreme power psu - 50
samsung lightscribe dvd writer - 20

= approx £380 :)

had a hardrive and OS already. seems ok for a gaming rig, playing crisis on all high settings :)
