I'm not clued up on whats good and whats not, so is this spec any good? Or could I get anything better? I plan to overclock, depending if I can get the family friend I know to do it.

Any suggestions/comments? :)

over budget but should be better

get a 256MB 3850 instead, or wait for one of the OCUK ones to be in stock.
change the MB to the IP35-E, this board will not OC as well as the IP35, but 3ghz is still achivable with relative ease.

if the seagate is the single platter variaty, then it will be faster then the samsung in your spec.

sorry for the late reply, but the IP35-E is not as good for OCing as the IP35 or IP35-pro, however it is still a good OCing MB
