hoping somebody could help. My Dear Mother and her partner have apparently started getting these error over the last couple of days. By all accounts they can get onto Google okay (it is their homepage) but any other search will bring up the 500 error. From what they say actually trying an actual url has varying results.
I cannot remember for sure but think they use Firefox so have suggested trying IE - not sure if they have done that.
From what I've Googled the 500 error is a catch-all term used for a non discript server error, and is server side, not client, so am a little confused as to why they're getting it.
However, I would not be at all surprised if they've downloaded a nasty again as they both seem quite adept at that.
Avast and Spybot S&D all present and regularly updated.
Anyone any ideas?
