Hi there,

My friend Ashton produces music and he is looking to set up a new desktop machine for the task. He has a budget of around £500 for the tower itself. He doesn't need a good graphics card as he's not really going to do much gaming. He was looking to have 16gb+ of ram, possibly a SSD for the operating system, 2-3 terabyte drive for his audio files, decent I7 processor etc.

Can anyone help? I am pretty out of touch, it's been years since I've built a machine!

Cheers, Dave.

Edit: Oh, forgot to mention but it would be good if the machine was quite quiet as well.

Its a struggle to get all that within that price range.

The above spec cannot be overclocked but I figure he doesn't care a bout that.

Apart from the stock intel cooler it will be quiet as their is no gfx card (use the onboard solution) and a quality PSU.
