Need a spec for a £500 system for a someone.

Will be used for general internet/microsoft office and some photo & video editing but not gaming. I.e. more focus on processor and memory over graphics.

Already have monitor, keyboard, mouse etc but will need Vista OS.

Ideas on a postcard please. :D

Did up a quick spec. Went a little over budget but it's got an E6550 and a very good motherboard for overclocking it with some RAM that should go well with it. Only a 250GB harddrive and a 2600XT but even that should do for most of the latest games though not at highest settings. You might be better off looking at other graphics cards from the 7xxx or 1xxx ranges. I just picked the 2600XT for it's HD video abilitys.

I would definitely get a Q6600, depending what you're doing re: video/photo editing, could be very useful.

lol

Your posting on OverclockersUK forum about a spec you made from a competitor, in doing so you do nothing for the op. Pointless really.

Actually it shows that he has other options

Also I'm pretty sure all the components I spec'ed are available from Overclockers, you'll just have to pay more than I did thats all!!
