Hi.

I'm interested in a Ryzen build for around £500. I will be doing some 1080p gaming mainly Quakelive, Quake Champions, Overwatch, Battlefield 1 etc.

I do not need a monitor, OS, keyboard or mouse.

Case will be matx.

I like quiet PC's so a very quiet PSU or one with a passive mode be a bonus.

Thanks.

Im strugling with your requirements but have come up with this, will you be overcloking ? If not you could get a cheaper mootherboard.

Mite be worth looking at intel G4560 build or going second hand.

Hi.

Yes you are right. £500 was way to low a budget for Ryzen. I really wanted a Ryzen 5 as well. Been crunching the numbers and a basic gaming system with Ryzen 5, 1050ti and ssd is £650.

I was looking at a G4560 build about 7 months ago but it never got off the ground. They are quite hard to get hold of now and if you can they are around £75. I remember when they were £50. Still its an option. I still have my wish list on ****** for the G4560 build - it might be a starting point for something cheaper.

Cheers.

I would seriously consider saving up a little more money and getting at least a quad core. That dual core will hurt you in the long run and if you don't like upgrading often you will just end up wishing you went bigger in the first place. Not to mention that BF1 will destroy that dual core.

Yeah that little intel cpu will get roughed up in upcoming games and then if I want to try Ryzen it means binning the CPU, MOBO + RAM.

I think I will just save up a little more.

Wouldn't go for the 1050ti personally, I'd try and nab something like a 7970/280x or a GTX780 off the Member's Market and then use the pennies to get an ssd.
