I been out of the loop for a long time when it comes to the latest stuff, but since I can now afford a new PC, still deciding if I should buy new or second hand.

Could someone please give me some ideas for a PC for gaming (BF4/Planetside 2 sort of games) at £500 or less please, cheaper the better though.

I don't need the following: GPU, SSD, HDD and a Case (maybe, feel free to add it)

It's going to be used for gaming, multi-monitor x3 (Eyefinity but might switch to the green team since I like the idea of shadowplay) I wouldn't mind the extra horse power of a i7 (I might start to encode videos).

Oh, more SATA ports the better since I can have over 10 HDD's.

Much appreciated for the help.

Edit: I think you might be pushed to find a motherboard which can take more than 10 without using a add on card!

Do you need an OS? Also what GPU are you running?

Oh my bad, should had said that. Windows 7 but maybe Windows 10 one day.

GPU wise, am running a 6950 2GB (Rev 1, OC'ed & Unlocked to 6970) so far, am running it with a Q6600, so am CPU bounded a lot. Once I got the core PC sorted, can always upgrade to a new GPU later.

Thanks for that RJC, will have a closer look at them parts.

Yeah, currently am using two add on cards, a old 8/10 port PCI-X and a 2 port PCI-E x1 card.

Could do with a PSU. :p
