Hi, i think its time i upgraded the core of my pc. Cpu, ram, mobo and gfx. My pc is used mainly for gaming and browsing.

So far i've come up with, insert decent mobo+ram(not sure about these two)

Amd p2 1055 + nvidia 460
Amd athlon 640 quad + nvidia 470
Amd p2 970 + nvidia 460
Intel i5 760 + nvidia 460

I've not included any ati card because i thought i'd give nvidia ago, or are the new ati's better?. Also i game at 1920x1080.

cheers.

Firstly, id say take the 970 over the 1055. Given your current graphics, 460s aren't a huge improvement over 5770s (you would notice the difference, but if you're after a whole core upgrade im guessing you want a lot more performance. Also, are we talking the 768mb version or the 1gb?). I would say go for either a 470 or a 6870 with your athlon quad if you want now.

Alternatively get a phenom 970/i5 760 and keep your current 5770. Save up a bit, and see what the 69xx series brings to the table in a couple of weeks (ie, perhaps a price cut on the 470)

Hmm decision's, well it sounds like i'm better off waiting awhile even though the money will burn a hole in my pocket. Thanks anyway.
