500Mhz x1900xt

Hi

ATITool shows my powercolour x1900xt as being at 500mhz core and 600mhz memory. Is this normal? I presume it speeds up when running 3d graphics right?

Yes it speeds up when running 3D, those are the 2D speeds.

If you look in Overdrive it will tell you the 2d and 3d settings you've got as well as you temp.

Use the ATI overdrive feature in the ATI catalyst control centre to overclock.

Yeah just read that after a Google then saw this thread, cheers for confirming it mate.

Can I also just say that the stock ATI cooler isnt too loud or hot at all, I idle at a paltry 43c according to the control panel and havent seen it rise too high yet. Noise levels are perfectly fine so far, it only blasts for 2 seconds at startup and then goes down to levels in keeping with the rest of my system. (32-35dba).

Im thinking of sending the Zalman 900cu that I ordered back...
