500R Question

Had a look round Google and on the forums but not been able to find any info. Would it be possible to hook up BitFenix Alchemy Premium Modding LED Strip to the LED off and on button located at the top of the 500R.

I know this normally handles the fan led but im planning on replacing them straight away but i still want to use the button

Any help greatly appreciated

I'm sure if you figured out what cable does what it would be entirely possible though I can't remember if the 500R LED switched is linked via the 3 pin fan connectors for the front panel fan controller.

I was thinking i would have to bodge the front panel board or replace the switch with another one,

If it helps I'm moving case next weekend (to an 800D). I can take a better look of how the front panel is wired up for you.

Though now I think of it I'm fairly sure the switch is wired into the 3pin fan headers for the onboard fan controller, as when I used the stock fans with an aftermarket fan controller (FC5 v2) the LED's on the stock fans were dim, so the stock fans must get a direct 12v feed from the connector for the LED's.
