hi i am building a cheap pc for my office work. i was looking at the ocuk value mini tower with 500w psu. does anybody have any experience with it.

I wouldnt be too keen on going "cheat" or "Value" on a PSU , how much are you looking to spend on one ?

And are you sure you will need a 500W PSU for just an office pc ?.

SOme good advice above,

Going 'Cheap' on a PSU is the worst thing you could do.

'Cheap' PSU's don't have some features which protect other compoennts if the unit fails. I have even seen picture of some 'cheap' PSU's on fire.

Its best to stick to a good brand like Seasonic, Antec, Superflower, Be Quiet or even Corsair.

+1 to what Doomedspeed said :)

To add, cheap PSU's aren't likely to also output at the level they claim, so you'll not really get a 500w for example.

I know PSU's aren't the most smexy of PC components but buying a decent one first time could save you a lot of hair pulling and tears :)
