5070ti Vs used 4080

Which would you choose?
They are pretty comparible price and performance wise from what I've seen I'm struggling to decide which to buy if any to finish cyberpunk with @ 1440p with path tracing.

Unless you plan on using the Multi Frame Gen they're essentially the same card. Very little difference at all. Even power draw is almost the same.

I would be more concerned that anyone thinks their used 4080 is worth the same as a new 5070Ti. Tell them it’s overpriced and negotiate.

The 4080 seems to go finish slightly above the 5070ti in a lot of benches and they seem to be around £100 less than a 5070ti on the used market. That's the similarity.

Where are you buying from?

If you could get a 4080 for a good price from say, OCUK MM where the prior owner would help with existing warranty? I'd go for the 4080, I've seen a couple go for around the £600-700 mark.

I do not rate MFG at all, and the better parts of the newest DLSS iteration will work on the 4080 anyway.

I'd rather wee blood than buy a 5070ti, it's a shockingly bad card even at MSRP.

32bit PhysX is a no go in the 5000 series.

You're buying into a worse experience for older games, a potentially better experience for new games.

Space Marine 2 is a grand example, the 5090 is much weaker than the 4090 at 1080P, aka the esports res.

I can't believe people are actually working around this by grabbing some old GPU just to use it as a dedicated PhysX card — what a joke. This whole situation feels like a step backward.

5070 ti for newer features, and importantly, warranty. Only way I'd go for the used 4080 is if it was £15-200 cheaper.

5070 Ti, really happy with the card, it's a monster, and cool and quiet. Not happy with the price obviously but we live in crazy times.

Go 5070 Ti imho.
