all wired :D - i dont trust routers haha.

i'll test at night, i.e. when other people (that use the same hub) are not using it and we'll see...

defo an improvement on game pings tho :d

Router throughput was in regards to the ethernet/wired part of it. Wireless woudln't even hit 36mbit (unless wireless N perhaps).

ahh i see

my mobo has 1gb ethernet and im using the newest VM box :P

i did find a setting somewhere about speed and duplex in my ethernet connection settings. i have the choice of 10mbs duplex or full 10 mbs half duplex or 100mbs full duplex or 100mps half duplex, as default its on Auto Negotiation.

i know nothing... auto sounds safest :p

ooooh silly me :P

yeah i have a 1gb ethernet and am using the newst VM modem/router that came with it :D, i did some searching on my ethernet settings and found "Speed & Duplex" atm its on Auto negotiation, which to me sounds safest that "10mbs Full Duplex", "10mbs Half Duplex", "100mbs Full Duplex" and "100mbs Half Duplex" lol

i've upgraded from 20Mb to the 50Mb two days ago, on my main pc which is wired connected to my router i get 48-50Mb (6-6.21MB/s) but on my laptop and 2 other pc's which they have USB N wireless adaptors they only get 20-28Mb (2.5-3.5MB) which is crap, so i just bought a set of powerline 200Mb lan adaptors for the laptop in the living room, it's has helped it abit which it gets about 30Mb (3.7MB)

is this normal for the N wireless adaptors to performance like that? the signal quality is at 100%...

USB = slow
if u thinking that i using USB1.0/1.1 port i wasn't, it was in a USB 2 port

whats the point in having USB N wireless adaptors if they only can do about 30Mbits? USB2 should be able to handle up to 480Mbits which a USB N wireless adaptor is 300Mbits...
