I have used the speech button to send some text messages and showed it off as I thought it was a neat idea. A few days ago I tried again and got the "your vehicle is not equipped with this function response" !
Spoke to bmw they said my car does not have enhanced bluetooth so it should not work. It would be OK but annoyed that it did work before.
Loving the car otherwise ,so far 900 miles and still on the second tank of fuel.
