That, plus the main problem of them killing components when they die which the good psus never do.steve258 said:Read a lot of discussions about Hiper and it seems to be a hit or miss. The good ones are rock solid while the bad onces either DOA or die within weeks / months. Also some people have claimed that it runs very hot and noisy when under heavy load. It will handle your new rig, if it works that is.

No way! I have heard too many stories of these prematurely failing and there have been quite a few over the past couple of weeks too.
Better off paying extra for a decent psu in the first place. Something like the latest 80-85% efficiency ones would be good as you will save on your electrcity as well. I have just gone for the OCZ Gamestream 700w. Yes it's a lot of power but at least i will be able to carry it over to any future upgrade.
430 would probably be ok. Antecs have a lot of juice on the 12v rail.fat_wife said:I checked out a NeoHE 430 (I know you said 450+) - but the 430 comes with the Antec p150. Apparently though, that PSU is giving a lot of people jip, the old version anyway.
