So guys I'm starting my new build.

I've been out the game really for the last 3 years due to my 2 kids being born and money was tight but now the purse strings have been released a touch I'm building a new system.

It's not bleeding edge but it's good for my needs / finances etc.

The majority of parts have either been bought from the mm or OCUK direct.

So it's based around the x99 platform and will consist of the Asus Sabertooth mobo, 5820k, 32 gb ram and a Gtx 780ti all under water.

Here's a few pics of layout for now, test fitting etc.

So today I'm going to be aiming to get all installed and a 24 hr test on the loop.

I've installed a EK backplate on the gpu and I'm also looking to add in a stealthy fill port.

I'm also needing to drill a small hole into the case above the drive bays to hold my lamptron fan controller flush as the quick release fittings on the drive bays are not compatible with the lamptron.

Quick question for you guys, what speed are you running your D5's at? 3??

Also are any of you using the pressure release fitting on your res? I'm contemplating adding one into the loop.

Looks awesome with the res positioned like that, will definitely be following this build until the end :)

I ran my D5 at 1. Just stress test and watch the temps as you change speed... I found that pump speed made little difference, it was all on the fans.

I'm doing a X99 build in an Air540 too, so really interested to see your build.

Good luck.

So today hasn't planned out at all like I hoped. Had my son to a hospital appointment today that dragged on way longer then we anticipated and then the Mrs took the rest of the day off, which was un foreseen lol. I love my days when she's at graft.

Any way I got my pumped mounted, I got my fill port mounted and can be hidden when not needed. I sorted my drain port and got my various cables ready.

I'm just left needing to drill one more hole into the case for the fan controller then all modifications are done really.

Building the loop can then be done over the next few nights hopefully.

Anyway I will add the imgur links to the pics in a short while.

Whilst without a pc I've been doing this blog from my phone so if some kind soul could tell me how to upload the pics instead of the links that would be awesome

Cheers Harry.

Ive let it settle a few days now and its much better. I need to top it up a bit more now and bleed a little air I think which I will do tomorrow but its starting to really look how I wanted it too.

On a minor note I didn't get enough or as much light from my two Corsair fans I had hoped so ive added in 2 red led strips which make a big difference.

Pics to follow
