540 Air

Not sure why they sell / you need a full set? Surely you only want them on intake fans?

I suppose that you could argue that dust could enter the case via the areas where you have no fans, but if you ensure that you have more air in than out (positive pressure) then it shouldn't matter surely?

So which would be better to use airflow wise 1 or 2

I'm running picture 2, mainly because Corsair recommend the fans as intake on the H100i I have mounted in the roof. Can't say I noticed much/if any difference either way.

I have 140mm akasa apache exhaust, 2x 140mm of the same intake on the front and the khuler 1250 at the top also exhausting air seems to work well and aside from the pump whine fairly much silent.

Tempted to use some of the spare PCI slots as either and intake or exhaust also as my GPU blows the hot air around the case - not decided on what and which direction though.

Very nice, how do you mount a intake/exhaust on the PCI?

The blanking plates have holes in them that would probably be possible to fix a fan into - would probably have to be a 60mm though which are kind of noisey at the best of times - not convinced its a good idea yet.
