I'm ditching Sky (again) after my 1yr half price Q offer ended and they couldn't offer me anything comparable.

I'm going over to Now TV for broadband, phone and TV, I've got Amazon Prime, and I'm looking into IPTV too.

Is there a reasonably priced 55" 4k TV that can do all of the above? I was initially looking at Hisense but they don't appear to support Now TV.

you can get a now TV box for £15 which will make it work on any TV if the TV doesn't support it natively

I'm getting a Now TV box with the package I'm taking out with them, but I was just wondering if I could minimise the clutter and wiring and do everything through the TV instead, as I was already looking at getting a new TV anyway.

Theres a small list of tv's on the now tv site (as mentioned above just some LG and Samsung), but if you don't like the nowtv box then a chromecast might be an acceptable alternative as iirc it gets its power over the HDMI so it might be a bit less intrusive

Built in Now TV compatibility isn't a deal breaker, I was just trying to avoid an extra box, but I'd rather have the best TV regardless of that.

Any opinions on Hisense? The H55N6800 looks to be decent for the price and seems to be well reviewed.

I've had the 65" Hisense (65m5500) for a few months and more than happy with it - great TV for the price :)

The Samsung UE55MU6400 does all that with apps. I have the 49” version and I think it’s a great tv.

Thanks for the replies, had a slight change of plan for now and bought an Android box (Himedia Pro Q5, seems well reviewed) as a stopgap to a new TV, hopefully it will do everything I want, then I can take my time looking for a new TV. :)
