I'm planning some purchases for a flat I'm buying (finally becoming a home owner, woo!) - looks like I'll be around 3m away from the TV when sitting on the sofa. Trying to decide between 55" and 65", and I'm leaning towards the former. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the reponses guys. I've been using a projector for the last few years, roughly a 90" image at 3m viewing distance. It's great for films but a lot bigger than I need most of the time. The problem with a huge TV (unlike a projector) is that they take up so much space and dominate the room. In the flat I'm buying, the only place I can put a TV is in front of the window, so a big TV is basically going to block all the light out completely. That's why I'm leaning towards a 55". Bit worried now though after so many people here are saying it'll be too small :(
Code:
Ideal viewing distances for 4K TV
TV size (inches) Distance
42 1.28m (4.2ft)
43 1.32m (4.3ft)
46 1.4m (4.6ft)
50 1.52m (5ft)
55 1.68m (5.5ft)
65 1.98m (6.5ft)
75 2.29m (7.5ft)
85 2.59m (8.5ft)
when i next "upgrade" in a few years time would be getting a 85 inch tbh

These sizes just sound insane to me, to be honest. I don't need my daily casual TV viewing to feel like I'm sitting in an IMAX cinema.
