550 Core Unlock Problem

Hey guys,
I have a Gigabyte UD3 mobo with the FB bios, this is what I need to unlock the 2 cores. I went through the steps of putting EC Firmware to "Hybrid" and AAC to "Auto" and then restarted. The computer wouldn't post so I reset the BIOS.

This brings me to my question, does this mean that I got a CPU with 2 dodgy cores? or does having a stock cooler, default vcore temp come into play?

Any help would be appreciated,
Liam

Cheers for the replies guys, In my BIOS I have this:

V.Core: 1.3500v
CPU NB VID Control: Normal

The CPU NB VID Control is not telling me what voltage is set as default for it, should I go up in increments of 0.025 for both of them together?

EDIT: There is one called "NB Voltage Control" though. Is the one I want CPU NB VID Control or NB Voltage Control.
