Not been around for a while....but i need you help!
Brother has £550 to spen on a new computer. He has a monitor (currently a 17" CRT - but apparently next month he will upgrade to a 20"/22" flat screen), keyboard, mouse and speakers.
Just the tower needed.
He has a couple of games he got for christmas that his current computer will not run, he's having to use mine at the moment (quite annoying). The game titles include: Gears of War, Kayne and Lynch and Crysis, there are some others but if the computer runs the first 3 OK then it will surely run the others.
I'm easy when it comes to what kind of processor, AMD or Intel (might help him overclock it some time) A good quality overclockable motherboard. Whatever you feel is best. Needs a graphics card that will be able to run all the games at a nice standard AFTER upgrading to the 20"/22" flat screen. Roughly 250gb minimum HD space. 2GB/4GB ram, not sure, as he might upgrade to vista. CD/DVD RW, PSU
Case - not an ugly "gaming" case with horns, eyes, and windows, just a smart looking functional (good airflow) case.
