not familiar with amd's but they cant be that different so here goes.
the basics of overclocking are
unlink ram speed so it does not interfere with the cpu, this means set the ram speed manually at a lower speed than usual, so if its ddr2 800mhz (as its ddr2 its 400mhz x 2) set it to 667mhz or set the fsb/dram ratio at 1:1
now increase the cpu voltage or vcore to 1.4v
your cpu has a fsb (frequency) and a multiplier.
soyour stock spped is 3.1ghz or 3100mhz, dont know what your multiplier is, but i will guess its 19, so 19 x 163 = 3100, so your fsb is 163 (i think)
if u raise this fsb, then u raise the speed of the cpu.
so if u raise it to 200, then it will be 200 x 19 = 3800mhz
save to the bios, then boot into windows.
download Intel Burn test (IBT), and realtemp.
run IBT on high settings and 4 threads (if u have 4 core, or set it to 2, if u have 2 cores)
now run the test for 10 passes, if it passes, well done, now go back and raise fsb to 230 and test again.
if it fails, reduce fsb to 190 or raise vcore to 1.41v and test again.
dont let it go over 60.C
please have a proper cooler for this and not the stock amd cooler
there are loads of guides on google,
i found these settings for u to try
Clock speed 3.7ghz
FSB x Multi 200 x 18.5
Vcore 1.385
RAM speed 800 mhz
NB Speed 2000 mhz
HT Link 800 mhz
