5600 or 5600g?

Hi all.

I'm just about to put a machine together for general usage, surfing and word processing stuff.

I won't be playing games on it as I have a gaming set up at the moment.

So is there any real point in buying the 5600g? will the G aspect improve the pc in any aspect except gaming?

You need a GPU so if you don't care about gaming or GPU compute then get the 5600G otherwise you're going to need to buy a dedicated GPU.

The board has integrated graphics, auros b550 elite.

The boards don't have integrated graphics themselves. They just support integrated graphics if the CPU package has them, e.g. 5600G.

it says here it has integrated graphics.

It doesn't. Read the manual, says all of that only works with a CPU with integrated graphics. I agree the specs are misleading though. There are no more consumer integrated graphics on motherboards.
