Anyone know if there is or will be for sale a version of the 5 5600 without a fan.
No point in paying extra for it if its not going to get used

I think if they are going to do a budget 5600 non-x they will offer it without a fan as that fan will no doubt eat into their margin. Whilst amd will also be acutely aware that people buying that SKU will be sticking it into a budget gaming rig so the buyer can go find alternative cooling solutions to suit.

And how would you think that? Was there 2600 or 3600 without X that was offered without a fan? Looks like you take your assumptions out of your... Hat
And no the boxed cooler does not go into their margin it's literally the other way around since it cost them next to nothing compared to you buying a separate cooler in retail... The value of cooler is already in the price of the CPU.

Why do you think there will be?!

the cooler on all the new zen3 are downgraded when compared with zen2. It is logical to think that the non-x if ever get released wouldn’t come with a fan similar to what the zen2 XT range was like.

It is a more logical deduction that “pulling one out a hat” as opposed to your wishful thinking.

additionally no one knows what they doing. Everyone is speculating so in your own language - you are also pulling one out of your own mad hat for suggesting AMD would add a HSF to a cut cost sku

Would have been nice if they had bundled this with the prism especially with the high price we are paying for this CPU as that's actually a very good cooler which buyers would be less inclined to replace.

The stealth is a pretty horrific cooler. If they can leave it out and keep cost down then it is far better than everyone considered.

The Stealth is terrible, the Spire is decent, the Wraith is very good if you can deal with the noise

I don't know who makes these decisions at AMD about which CPU gets a cooler and then which cooler but sometimes I think they blindly throw a dart at some post-it notes and go with what it lands on

I see a review using the stealth on the 5600X and it only boosted all core to 4.2 which was 300mhz less than with a decent cooler so I would definetly replace as that's quite a loss of performance.

How is it logical? The only processors they ever released without cooler was higher end models because they expect people to want a better cooling solution on those anyway. Was there a no cooler budget option available? No there wasn't and there won't be. 3600x is with cooler and so will be 3600. U try to prove your point hard but your logic come from your own head and doesn't have any support to what amd had released so far it's quite oposite because the logic would dictate the oposite yet u fail to accept it...
Even the whole point of getting a BUDGET processor means u expect not to spend extra money to buy your own cooler. Getting one in box is always going to be cheaper way and that's what BUDGET is about...
Yes nobody know what they want to do in future except themselves yet it's common sense and educated guess to assume 3600 will be with cooler unless u get OEM version of it. Stop arguing unless you can prove its otherwise everyone (except you) will assume it comes with cooler anyway.

I'm not sure I would call the 5600X a budget CPU at almost £300 although I do think for the money it costs it should have come with either the spire or prism coolers.

We were talking about 3600 (no X) well since it's cheapest and weakest of the current range it kind of is budget option for someone interested in zen3.

Ya that thing is just a piece of aluminium (not a particularly heavy one either). Limited usage. If someone wants it in an ITX and don’t want boost on their CPU or run at a reduced TDP then that’s probably sufficient.
