5600X cooling solution

After some very helpful advice on cpu‘s on OCUK I think I’m going 5600 / 5600x for my new cpu. Just wondering if I can save a few quid and use the included cooler?

will this do the job ok? No Overclocking etc will be done.

Providing you've got decent airflow through your case the stock cooler is fine.

I used the same cooler on a 3100 for about two days before i ordered a 34 esports duo, while they work then are also whiney and annoying but see how you get on.

Wraith prism on a 5600x under load (Handbrake/Cinebench), temps about mid/upper 60's in a 4000D airflow, thats what I got on my nephews rig when I built it in the summer.

I left the stock cooler on a 5600x build for a friend and it surprised me. Case wasn't incredible, the front panel was solid with little air vents. Still stayed below 70C under load. 80C with PBO going at ~5ghz on all cores
