5600X Help

Hello, I just received my sons upgrade
ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X

I installed the motherboard and new CPU but it wouldn't post. Fans all spun up but no display.
I installed his old 2600 and it booted so I UPDATE the BIOS to the latest version.

Once complete I reinstalled the 5600X and now it won't even turn on. Power is going to the Motherboard but when you press the power button nothing happens. I tried shorting the jumpers and nothing.

I then reinstalled the 2600 and boots up perfect.

Any idea what's going on?

Can you check the specific version number of the BIOS?

I agree it sounds like a BIOS issue, start by making sure you downloaded and flashed to correct version.
