5600X order just got cancelled by OCUK - I didn't ask for it.

I was a bit puzzled today when I got another "order cancelled" email from OCUK.
Turns out OCUK was cancelling my 5600X cpu order from Nov 5.
So, not a repeat of the GPU overselling cancellation of Nov 18, but a 20 day delayed cancellation for the cpu?
But, I hadn't asked to cancel! It came out of the blue. Wow, that.... sucks, big time.

I was in the early 300's in the waiting list last Friday. And now, the past three weeks waiting and hoping just got destroyed.

I don't see any other other forum threads about similar random cancellations.
Am I the only one that got cancelled?
Was this a mistake by OCUK, or are they clearing the decks, feeling overwhelmed by the enquiry levels and deciding to throw everyone overboard and try again?

At the very least, I'm thinking they could have written a bulk email to pre-order folk, explaining the desperate stock situation (since the promised 100 chips from the week after Nov 5 still haven't shown up either) and give us the option to wait months or cancel. Nope, they decided that for me, in the bluntest rebuttal possible.

I've been a customer here for over 20 years, bought an X570 motherboard here in June 2019, and now this?
Well, with the non-existant gpu cards and a likely wait of months, I think OCUK just saved me spending a grand on hardware this Xmas.
I'll keep going with the 3700X, and dust off the 2080 I had put in a box recently. No SAM, but it's now clear that ain't happening anyway.

Lisa Su and Frank Azor brazenly promised there would be stock. And AMD has now failed far worse than nVidia, managing to snatch a huge defeat from a guaranteed win with the best hardware that no-one can buy. I now feel quite offended by their false claims.

But it's also compounded by OCUK chucking me out of the waiting list sans explanation.

Thank you for reading.

Actually, it was yesterday - the email was sent Nov 24th, just before Midday.

Took me a while to realise it wasn't an accidental repeat of the gpu overselling cancellation, because all it quotes is the order number, and no details about what it is, or when the order was placed.
Apart from the different order no., the cancellation email looked identical to the gpu cancellation email of Nov 18th.

Part of me vainly hopes someone (customer or OCUK) mistyped the order number when they cancelled, and OCUK took out my order instead / by accident.

But after three weeks and extreme disappointment with the promised "5 to 7 times the stock" of the incoming partner cards (at higher prices, of course) being equally false promises, I'm inclined to just give up on the entire upgrade project.
