Evening people.

Decided against a 3600 Ryzen and opted like many others for the 5600x just now need a mobo to go with it please and need help.

Budget is around 150 but less if not need. cost cutting on the mobo as ive over spent elsewhere.

I looked at the B450 tomo but can get mid range MSI B550 PRO at £135 for a little more and then i find myself at the MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus at £159 and now im at the over spending mark. Prob prefer the PCIe 4 for maybe a future upgrade?

PCIe4 will that be for future cards i take it?

I do t think the B450 boards support Zen3 yet; I think they get the BIOS update early this year.

I’d get a good B550 board. You’ll need to make sure that it has BIOS flashback as not all boards will have the latest to support Zen3 (depends on when they were manufactured).

The latest GPUs support Gen4 and you can get Gen4 NVME drives. Neither really matter right now for gaming, but it’s better future proofing.

Anything you'd recommend i like the look of the Gigabyte B550 aorus elite - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/gigabyte-b550-aorus-elite-amd-am4-b550-atx-motherboard-mb-58v-gi.html

Seems out of stock or discontinued everywhere

actually now considering a gigabyte x570 aorus elite

Found a good deal elsewhere for £176 very tempting , would i still need to flashback?

Assume that all of them will require it. Zen3 is still new so the chance of a board being up to date is slim.

Apparently that board is slightly worse than the B550 one. When I say worse, it probably won’t make much difference to you unless you’re really into overclocking.

Bah i thought i cracked it then ha :D

Not really into overclocking so be wise to skip that, the price of the x570 one i found seems good. Might be best to stick with a B550 just need the right one
