Currently have a 5600x, managed to grab a 5800x for £330. After ordering it I did some research and found it can be quite hot and with my setup (wraith Prism) may lower boost clocks and potentially net me worse performance than my 5600x.
However, with DDR5 on the way I'd imagine I'll be keeping whatever I decide on for a few years.
I play mostly VR, and use the PC for 50/50 work and gaming. I do stream VR usually too. Flat gaming I use 2x 1080p 144hz
Should I return it or sell my 5600x? I do understand that 5800x tend to be single CCD explaining the higher temperatures. I've also been told that recently undervolting has been found to actually cause issues.
I would hope the upgrade would cost me £60 plus a future investment in an AIO
