My 560Ti is running hot, getting as high as 82c under load.

I cleaned all of the fan and removed a lot of dust from the heatsink, re-applied thermal compound etc but the cards still getting as high as 82c.

Is this cause for concern? What other steps can I take?

Cheers guys - I thought 82c would have been considered to hot considering my 7850 in the other PC runs much cooler.

What's a safe temp for it to get up to?

The 560ti runs hotter than a 7850 anyway.

You didnt say which 560ti you have. If its fitted with a reference cooler than these do run hot. Also if your gpu cooler exhausts air (ie reference) or has no exhaust, some Asus 560ti's for instance this can make a difference. Look at airflow in your case and how much is directed to the GPU.

I would look at it more closely if it got over 90c.

You could always try something like this

Arctic Accelero Twin Turbo II VGA Cooler

it would knock about 20c off your temp

It's just an OCUK Value one - So not fully sure which type of cooler it has. I can't seem to find the box.

The cooler looks like it'd be a decent buy, are they easy to fit? i.e just as simple as taking the current cooler off and back on?

Cheers

82C for that 560Ti is fine. You can't compare it to the 7850 - GTX560Ti has higher power consumption and require 2 PCI-E 6pin, whereas 7850 only require 1...remember?
