Due to a massive cockup between a customer and myself i have now been landed with a asus 770 and i already have a 560ti, any point in putting them in sli.
If i won't help then i will just use the 770 and sell the 560 but as yet i haven't opened the 770.
Had no actual intention of upgrading yet but seeing as i have paid the money i may as well.

curious as to why not?

With Nvidia you can only put the exact same models of cards into SLI. E.g. a 770 and a 770. You can't mix and match different generations or models of GPUs.

AMD Crossfire works slightly better in a way as you cannot mix different generations but can mix the same sub-models e.g. a 7950 and a 7970.

You might not be able to use them in SLI but you can run the 560 as a dedicated PhysX card to ease some small amount of strain from the main card.
