I am referring to the asus factory clocked 1gb version
Why are the prices for this card are not going down with the new gtx6 series out?
 
because Nvidia are trying to sell as many last gen chips as they possibly can at their current price before releasing their replacements. They still have a lot of G100 / G104 / G114 GPUs left to get rid of.

I'm more surprised that the GTX 460 is still around and wasn't made EOL when the G114 replaced it.

While they are having limited chips for the 680 from TSMC, they will not lower the price of the 'older' gen cards.
