Hi I am just wondering that when playing a blueray movie on my HTPC with a 570 GTX installed, if it would passthrough the HD audio tracks to my AV receiver fo it to decode? or am I going to have to buy a expensive sound card do this?

Thanks :)

For some odd reason the higher end nVidia GPUs don't support the passthrough of HD audio.
The GTX570, 580 and 590 don't support it.

The cheapest way to play a movie would be to buy a GT520 and have the tv playing through that (if your motherboard has the space)

Supports high-definition 24-bit, 96 and 192 KHz multi-channel audio sampling rate support for compatible Blu-ray movies

hmmm! well I need to buy a headphone amp for my new headphones, so might as well get a decent sound card that does the LPCM to my receiver and has a headphone AMP on it

Is there such a card that does both LPCM and has a headphone AMP, from past thinking am sure they either did one or the other

:)
