570 Overclocking

How far can a reference 570 overclock to can it beat a 580 because that's what I was going to buy a second hand 580 until I realised second hand is a dodgy way to go.

Hi there

Yes they generally clock to 580 clock speeds and beyond. Most do 850MHz core and 4200MHz memory, some higher.

Also consider ATI 7850 too another superb card and about £20 less

No.

580 is quicker at everything.

Ok then a overclocked 570 can hit 580 performance I'm tempted by the EVGA 2560mb edition if so any idea if this will go on sale soon ?

My 570 @ 1050mV.

I ran my asus directcu 570 at 900/1125 on 1.15v. Excellent card and good scaling with overclocking.
