570 SLI memory

I was wondering how memory would work in a dual card SLI setup ?

2 x 570's each 1.2MB making a total of 2.4MB. Does that mean I would get a total of 2.4MB for gaming ?

You'll still only get 1.2gb - not a problem unless your res is >1920x1200.
