570 sli

I take it they're out the window due to them being triple slot, but the DirectCU2 570s are on this week only at £245 Linky. Those will be damn quiet, but of course only if they'll fit on your motherboard

Most of the review sites don't state fan speeds, just 29db at idle and 40 at load . To be fair, in the Techpowerup benchmark it's quieter than a lot of high end cards, so you can't go far wrong. If you have any other fans in your case you won't really be able to hear the graphics cooler over it.

I have 570's in Sli, one MSI and the other the Asus DirectCU II.

I would definitely recommend the extra for the Asus cause it runs much quieter and cooler than my MSI when playing games. The MSI is quite loud.

Having said that, my MSI is the primary card, which is on top, so it does have a harder time than the Asus, but still I am very impressed with the DirectCU II.

Cool cheers for the feedback guys, think ill order myself a pair. ALso have a spare Arctic cooler lying around which i thought ill fit too my top card, what's your opinionn on this?

Do you have any spacing between the cards? The thing with most aftermarket gpu coolers is that they exhaust warm air back into the case. When applied to a dual card configuration this naturally may worsen temps.

Imo, if you were to install the cooler and provided that you have a reference card (one that exhausts heat out of the back of the case), and a gap between the top and battom card; then I would suggest that you install the arctic cooler in the top card and have the reference at the bottom. Alternatively if there is no gap, then I would have the aftermarket cooled card on the bottom.

Switch the cards about and see for yourself which one is better for you :)
