Hi All,
installed the Morpheus 2 on a reference 5700 with a pair of Noctua 12x25 fans.
This card is pretty good with silicone lottery allowing me to benchmark with a 2100core clock and 940mhz mem clock. It'll bench at these levels.
This is with the fans at 2000rpm. With these fans 2000rpm is loud as sin. When I reduce the clocks and rpm down to an acceptable 1300rpm and 1900/875 then memory temps get way out of control. The core is still sitting happy at 60-65 degrees but the memory gets to 90.
Do any of you guys have any ideas for good ram cooling? I was looking at some larger heatsinks for the memory, but the Morpheus' heat pipes are quite low. has anybody made their own or have clever ideas for cooling? maybe custom copper heat spreaders etc? It's a little frustrating as this cooler has the capacity to be cool and quiet, just need to get some of that heat out of the memory....
Edit: anybody know what the watt man fan control does and how it behaves as it doesn’t really do what the curve says it should..... or is this a quirk of swapping fans?
