Which one should I buy for a SFF build please ? in will be going in a Jonsbo A4 Case with 2 x 120mm intake fans and a 240mm AIO with the 2 fans on the AIO as exhaust, ive read that the 5800X runs pretty hot, is this the same for the 5700X, strangely enough the 5800X is cheaper.

Don't get this case. i had this case with both CPU's and they was impossible to cool.
The best cooler you can put in is a be quite Shadow Rock Low Profile and the 5800x would sit in the high 80's low 90's in games....(with curve optimiser and low power mode)

the way the case is spaced, i had 2 noctua's in the bottom and top and the air flow would always go via the GPU side and CPU side was a massive dead spot.. in the end i used a 120mm AIO it was better but the single 120 rad still did tow it ass off with both CPU's

genially don't buy that case, there is a jonsbo matx case that is only a few cm bigger and 100% better for cooling

Ahh a bit too late, ive already got it, its all set up, im just waiting to grab a CPU for it, ive put a 240mm AIO in it though, I was thinking of grabbing the 5800X and just sticking it in eco mode or resticting the max temp in the bios to 75 / 80oC.

what will the CPU be used for games?, also what 240 did you manage to jam in?

if you have a 240mm AIO i cant see you having problems get the cheapest, but the 5700x is cooler running and in a gaming situation there is little to no difference.
if you can... the 5800x3d run's very cool with a -30 offset

Yes for games, its for the Mrs, things like Shadow of the tomb raider and fallen order etc, it will be 1080 gaming, and this cooler https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-aio-240-d-rgb

I was even thinking about the 5700G as it has a backup GPU just in case, but PCI-e 3 put me off a bit, not so much in the graphics card dept, but more the nvme speeds.
