Sat here at half past silly in the morning when on the new products list for ocuk i see the xfx 5750 for £92.99, a very reasonable price.
So I start to think 1 card wont be much cop but what about 2 in crossfire for a budget dx11 gaming rig. So i started a search and came accross this
Single and crossfire 5750's Guru3d
Motherboards.org (not overly familiar with them)
It seems that 2 of these at stock perform slap bang in the middle of the 5850 (just below or equal to)and gtx 285 (above)
So consider this:
The cheapest roughest 285 is the ocuk value one at £219 (branded ones being £269)
The cheapest 5850 is £240 from VTX
Yet you can get similar performance to a 5850, and something thats better than a 285 with dx 11 for a meer £185 (2 x £92.99 XFX 5750)
For a low-mid end budget gaming rig you can get nice performance for £55 less that a 5850
Guru3d clocked ther samples to 836mhz core and 5312mhz memory so the benchmarks shown in there review could be improved upon!
Thoughts an opinions?
