My work place are running a double discount for staff this week and I've managed to impulse purchase myself 2 23" 1080p monitor/TVs for £250 so now I'm gonna be venturing in the world of 3 screens.

I've currently got a gtx680 2gb with a 3570k what's would your recommendations be. Should I sli the card I've got, sell it and look at replacements eg 4gb cards or even look down the ati route?

If you sli a 2gb with a 4gb are you limited to 2gb only?

Thanks as always

:)

If you go down the SLI route you'll need to match the VRAM amount so another 2GB card.

As my link will show: the AMD 7900 cards (even the 7950) are much quicker across three screens.

My results in that link are with my own 680s and 7950s and both overclocked.

You could sell the 680 for around ~£280-340 depending on the model and then buy 2 7950s for ~£450 which means the graphics card upgrade will cost you only approximately £100 which ain't bad.

I would try triple screen gaming out first before you committ to a second GPU although I'd imagine if you like settings above low/medium you will want the extra grunt from a second card.
