5760x1200 eyefinity help

Well my 2 new 24" samsungs arrived today to match my old one. And now i think i would like to try eyefinity.
Play all the latest graphic hungry games on my 4870 tri fire.
What graphics to keep my max game settings to play across the the 3 screens.
The monitors are samsung 2443bw's.
Psu is ax1200 gold corsair
so do i go tri-fire 6990=overclocked 6950 or just single 6990 and add a card a later date?

You need a 5000 series, 6000 series or certain Nvidia cards in SLi. What's your budget? Personally with that resolution I would get the 6990 and see how it copes, and if you need more power, add a 6950, flash that to a 6970 and trifire it with the 6990.

Also, what is the rest of the system specs?

At that res you'll want to make sure you have plenty of VRAM if your going to be turning up the AA

I asked him for it. Looks like nothing will bottleneck the cards, so trifire should be running fine.

It was such a long time ago.

All should be well with those specs.

so get a 6990 for now and maybe upgrade the cooler when arctic cooling release one.
Then add a 6950/70 at a later date.
What i have to do with the ud5 layout is put the 6990 with the upgraded cooler to the second pcix16 slot and put the single card in the 1st pcix16 slot.
Just like i did with my 4870 setup
