5770 1gb good enough for WoW?

Well take a look, I just thought I'd point the OP towards it. I will add that I imagine most of you guys are computer proficient and there's a lot of whining kids expecting miracles on the thread.

Now it dosent really matter what graphics card you have I get more or less the exact same FPS in Dala and raids with my 5870 that I used to get on my old GTX280 it is incredibly CPU dependant

Hopefully that will change in Cata thee doing a lot of work on upgradeing the graphics engien even adding DX11 support

Just look at the Anadtech bench all the CPU's are tested with a GTX280 everything maxed out @1680x1050 screen res

I ran WoW maxed on a crappy on a 256mb 8800GT.

I'm sure your 5770 1gb will be fine

Of course it will. If not you're doing it wrong lol. People love to grossly exaggerate WoW system requirements, what's up with that ? Seriously. But obviously, as said above, its an MMO so the CPU is also of consequence.

indeed, my 4.2ghz i7 can sometimes struggle in Lagaran, its very cpu intensive

Guess that massive thread must be full of people with simple nothing better to do than fantasize about imaginary ATi graphics cards issues then! How silly!

People tend to make noise when something goes wrong, you don't know what proportion that noise makes up of total users, 90% might not have any problems.

I for one have never had ANY driver issues with ANY card, ATI or Nvidia, and it's not always just the card itself that could be the cause of the issue.
