For my brother, who will occasionally play games like Rome and maybe battlefield 3. I use a 5770 with no issues, he has dual Dell displays.

I really dont know much about the 5770 or 6770 but i would spend the extra and get the 6870 as we know eyefinity works with this and its newer tech.

I have eyefinity working fine on the 5770 with an active display port adapter, it's just the 6770 is dead cheap now and I'm wondering if this is the 5770 in a guise?

I came from a 5770 to the 6870 that i now have and my vote would go straight to the 6870. Its a far superior card. For me the 5770 was really showing its age a year ago and probably before. The 6870 is still performing great in any new game i am using atm including bf3.
