5770 and 4870...crossfirex?

as the title says guys n gals.

now i know "if" its possible, then the setup would scale back to the lowest performing card, but that dosent bother me all that much.

the only reason i ask is that im getting back my old 4870 and instead of it laying around, im tempted to sit it next to my 5770.

think it might work?

also not too fussed if it cant do dx11 anymore, as im pretty sure that the 4870 would jus crap out if i tried for obvious reasons lol.

if i try them together it wouldnt knacker the cards out would it, it just wouldnt work right?.. pure curiosity is gettin the better of my to jus see what happens lol

they just won't crossfire there's no point in trying. They have to be part of the same series...5770 will xfire with a 5750 but that's it

U can with the new MSI Big Bang or summit although performance will be worse with both cards than just the 5770

You mean Lucid Hydra.
And performance increases, but there's still some quirks to correct.
