When the money comes around for a complete new system, is the 5770 a decent card? I'll be mainly be playing DX9 games (CoD4, TF2, L4D1/2) with a dabble of BC2 when the price is acceptable.

I'm not a visual quality caring person (I had to run TF2 looking like this: http://www.m0re.nocrits.com/index.php?site=files&cat=1 - the high fps images will give you an idea what I played with and the reason why I picked up CoD4), so I don't mind running BC2 on med-low settings.

The 5770 is a very good card for the money. If you are going to be playing a lot of games and have some spare cash you could always get a 5850.

if you're not bothering with DX11 titles then the 4890 will give better frame rates than the 5770. They're becoming a little tricky to get hold of though.

The 5770 is a great little card, you can run most games at mid res 1600 etc at a decent frame rate but i have found the 5850 to be an excellent card easily the best i have owned.
