5770 better than 5850

ive just got my new xfx 5850 and its runs worse than my old powercolor 5770 updated to latest drivers and still the same whats going on

Which cpu do you have ? as it might be bottlenecking it

A little more info would be helpful. Like, what clock speeds, what resolution, what's the rest of your system, what is your PSU etc.

I've no clue what it could be, personally I would try a proper driver clean and reinstall, then make a thread about it.

Over heating maybe, so it's throttling the card?

I'd go with completely wiping drivers then installing new drivers
