Hi,

Built a PC, did not have a graphics card so shoved an old 7600GT in there, installed nvida drivers worked fine.

Uninstalled all the drivers etc, put my new 5770 in, now when i install drivers off the CD my PC is restarting after 10 seconds of being on the "install" bar.

Could someone help? Oh and also when my PC is booting up it says "no harddrive detected" but there is a 500gb one(and it's working fine)

Thank you.

Shane

I'd run HDTune to check if your hard drive is definitely ok. Could be dodgy if it doesn't let you install drivers or check itself on startup.

you mean its now saying no had detected and no longer boots?

check you did not break / dislodge the power / data cable on the drive...

if it still boots if probably you have a controller enabled with no drive attached.. (jsut ignore it)

download the latest drivers from the ATI's site rather than using the CD..

Hello,

Thank you guys, i downloaded the drivers and all is installed FINE. Great!

Do you the "no hard drive detected" is a problem? It shows i have one once on the PC, just on start up?

Shane

if there is no a missing drive and everything works ok, it because you have a controller enabled (say ide) and the drive type is set to 'auto' but there is no drive attached..

unless you hare happy messing with the bios I would leave it (unless its causing some issue)(
