I only have £140 to get a better card than the one I have now which is ati 4650 I play COD mw2 a lot but my card is not doing the job it can cope with the game but not well anought so I am looking at a 5770 or GTX260 so its just which one, a friend had a ati 4850 but it would get so hot and blue screen so he swapped it over for a gtx260 and it deals with MW2 maxed out I have not been able to see a 5770 at work, so any help on this would be cool..

regards

Both are good but i would go 5770 since it runs fine on it's own though if you get a 2nd they run extremely well.

Would get the 5770. Runs cooler and uses less power. The trade off is the performance of the gtx 260 might just edge it but imo not enough to warrant over it.

well thanks for the help, I cant afford the price of a 5850 wish I could I did use a 4850 for a few months but it produced some mush heat it would blue screen the pc after 20 mins of MW2 it was a nightmare card so that has been taken back an now exchanged for a GTX260
which is running fine all though I still have time to get a money refund and get a 5770 so would that be the best thing to do?

GTX260 would be faster than HD5770 in games like Crysis, but in general they are quite close in terms of speed and performance. However HD5770 does offer the extra of dx11 support and lower power consumption (lower temperature+overclock headroom).

So unless you need that few extra fps in Crysis, I would say grab the HD5770 1GB out of the two.
