just got a sapphire 5770 Vapor-x, think it's broken...

the system will only post when there is no power to the card, otherwise it stalls before trying to detect drives. Also, the HDD activity light stays on almost constantly... obviously, the card does not work without power.

I tried resetting the BIOS, but no change.

My system is:
MSI RC410M
Pentium P4 3.2Ghz
XFX 850W

any ideas before I RMA it?
