Hi, after some advice mainly. I am experiencing some weird graphical glitches/artifacts, which the screenshot shows an example off. The weird thing is that this only appears in some games, so far being Dirt 2, Just Cause 2 and BF Bad Company 2. I regularly play rfactor, LFS, Batman AA and GTA4 with absolutely no issues at all, however i've not really had a chance to check other new games which may have issues aswell.

Temps on my card never exceed 70°, which is quite high but not dangerously so. Haven't Overclocked the card so far, underclocking has no effect on the glitches. Have also tried turning Catalyst AI off, which had no effect.

My PSU has 2 12V rails, one being 18A and the other 17A. I have seen that 20A is recommended for this card but i'm assuming that having 2 rails means this isn't an issue?

Any advice would be appreciated, i was considering RMA'ing the card however I would like some advice first, just incase there is nothing wrong with the card.

Thanks.

That looks like a memory problem if you're referring to the black spikey lines. Try another driver set to see if that changes anything.

Hi there, tried a few different sets of drivers and there was no change. Is it likely that the card is the problem?

Sorry for the bump, but i've figured out the problem, which gives me a brand new one.

Turns out that this only appears in DX11 games, in Dirt 2 and BC2, forcing DX9 mode means the game works perfectly. However, this isn't ideal, obviously.

So what could possibly be causing this? I've installed the latest version of DirectX with no change. Could it be the card's fault? I'm considering RMAing the card, but obviously this would be pointless if it wasn't the cards fault. Any suggestions appreciated.

You could try, just running the display drivers, on their own, with out install the ccc.

I never install the ccc, inorder to keep things nice and simple.

Have tried this previously, had absolutely no effect, thanks though.
What about updating the 5770's bios I had to do that to two of my cards.
Was not for the same problem tho, but just a thought.

Have had a look around, my card has the most up to date BIOS version i can find. I understand Sapphire cards needed their BIOS flashed to unlock the shaders, my card though is a Club3D and isn't affected by this.

I think RMA is pretty much the only option i have left, however OCUK no longer stock my card, and have no comparable card (512MB), so how would this work if the card has a fault?
